GUIDELINES FOR A NEW BOOKMOBILE NEIGHBORHOOD STOP

The staff of the Edison Library welcome input from the community and are always looking to expand the Bookmobile’s services to township residents. If you are interested in having the Bookmobile come to your neighborhood, please follow these guidelines:

  1. The New Stop Petition must be signed by 25 Edison Township residents preferably those who live in the neighborhood requesting the stop and feel they would utilize the service.

  2. Once a completed petition is received the Bookmobile staff will visit the requested site to determine that we can safely maneuver and park the Bookmobile.

  3. If these conditions are satisfactorily met, the new stop will begin when we have an opening in the schedule.

  4. The staff request the residents submitting the petition make suggestions for possible parking spaces, however, the Bookmobile staff reserve the right to make the final determination of the parking space for the vehicle.

  5. The staff also welcome suggestions as to what time of day the residents would most likely utilize the service, but due to scheduling constraints reserve the right to make the final determination for the day, time and length of the visit.

Questions? Please feel free to call the Bookmobile office at the number above or

email the Coordinator, Karen Bilton (kbilton@lmxac.org).
